10 of Murrieta’s Most Expensive Homes That Sold in 2011

Murrieta is truly the “Gem of The Valley.” It is a place that has made home ownership a reality for many thousands of people who may have not had a chance before. Murrieta is also a place that has spurred growth, happiness and opportunity for many as well as given some of these lucky residents a place to build beautiful homes.

Over the years, Murrieta has attracted a lot of wealthy people trying to “stay out of the radar” from their busy and even superstar lives. These people have purchased homes in places like La Cresta, Bear Creek and even built custom homes on land of their own. Below are a list of the largest and most expensive of these homes sold in the last twelve months.

10. Calle Juanito – $1,000,000

This is the first home on the list and probably my favorite from the pictures. It was built in 2005 and is a 5 bedroom 5 bath mansion with just under 4,000 sq. ft.

9. Vista Del Bosque –  $1,150,000

This Murrieta home was built in 1995 and is the 9th most expensive home on the list coming in at 1,150,000 with a wopping 7,880 sq. ft. This home has a guest house and plenty of property to enjoy peaceful living in Murrieta.

8. Avenida De Felicidad – $1,199,900

This is the second largest home on the market and can accommodate a lot of bodies with its seven bedrooms and six bath layout and is secluded in the hills of La Cresta.

7. Lobo De Pradera – $1,200,000

This mountain-side home in Murrieta boasts 5 bedrooms and 6 baths and delivers 6,108 sq. ft. I think the photographer did an excellent job at the pictures taken for this listing.

6. Calle De Oso Oro – $1,263,000

Tucked against the mountains near Bear Creek this home has 4 bedrooms, 5 baths and gives the new owners a comfortable 5,946 sq.ft.

5. Bear Canyon Drive – $1,336,000

This golf course home in Bear Creek has 3 bedrooms 4 baths with a roomy 5,420 sq. ft.

4. Bear Creek Drive – $1,400,000

Another Bear Creek home closer to the mountains has 4 bedrooms and 6 baths with over 5,600 sq.ft.

3. Via Caballos – $1,765,000

I think that this is an investment home because it looks unfinished. But, this home has a whopping 7,300 sq.ft. and has 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.

2. Via Caballos – $1,800,000

This house is on the same street as the previous home and also is the second most expensive home on the list with 4 bedrooms, 5 baths and over 3,800 sq. ft.

1. Elm Street – $3,700,000

This is the most expensive home on the list and is more than double the second most expensive home and gives a roomy 10,500 sq. ft. and with 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.

A Walk Around Murrieta with Brooke Bailey

I am blessed to live in Murrieta. I took these pictures as I ventured through the city to give you a view from a residents perspective.

Murrieta from the Mountain

This is one of me looking over the mountains in Murrieta. It was so peaceful that day and the breeze was coming in from the ocean. This is what life is all about.

A Look at the Old Mill Off of Washington

From there I went over the the old Mill in Murrieta. This is a landmark and has been here since there were any residents. It is now closed and no one can go inside. But, it gives you an idea of the history and where this town grew up from. It is kind of sad that there are a lot of beat up homes back there but, anyone who has lived here for a while will agree that this is a landmark.

Ok, well I really didn’t hang out here too long but, I wanted to show some pride on where I am from. It’s funny because Murrieta’s population is now over 100,000 residents.
